Brooke Lacey was grabbing her morning coffee when she noticed a note on her car windshield.

At first she thought it must be an angry note from someone in the parking lot, however, that was not the case.
The note was handwritten on a napkin that said:
Your sign saved my life.”
Brooke created a homemade bumper sticker that reads,
“Please don’t end your life today The world is so much better with you in it, more than you realize. Stay.”

She made the sticker to help lift herself and hoped to help others during moments of depression and isolation amidst the pandemic lockdowns.
Little did she know just how significant the simple gesture of care would become.
The rest of the handwritten note read:
“I left my house with a plan and asked for a sign, any sign I was doing the right thing when I saw your car in parking the lot. Thank you.”

Brooke took to social media from now inactive accounts with a picture of the note and immediately went viral with 1,791 likes and 147 retweets on Twitter sharing the impactful encounter.

She gave another person a feeling of purpose in this world.
Brooke’s bumper sticker is a simple reminder that there is a kindness in many forms and it just takes one small act to make a difference to others.
