It Looks Like A Crazy Guy Just Walking Around In The Snow. Then You Zoom Out And.. Whoa.
If you’ve ever worked as a custodian, you know the job is a lot more difficult than people like to assume. It’s dirty, smelly, and often times very tiring. Saddest of all, even though custodians serve an important function in any organization, it’s easily one of the most thankless jobs in society.
While a scenario like this could easily make any man or woman unmotivated, one custodian is going beyond the call of duty. His name Semen Bukharin and he works at a secondary school in Izhevsk, Russia.
Everytime snow falls in the area, Bukharin uses opportunity to make students smile. Instead of just shoveling the snow, he creates art with it. Using only his shovel, Bukharin creates huge pictures that contain an incredible amount of detail.
Take a look at some of his work in the photos below.
A blooming flower with a butterfly. This is Bukharin’s reminder that spring is just around the corner.
A beautiful tree drawn in the parking lot. This is another reminder of the nice days to come.
It might be cold in the area but a safari scene makes it a little warmer.
Wonderfully detailed viking ship. It’s a nice shout out to Russia’s Nordic neighbors.
This was done on 11/28/2014. As you can see, Bukharin was getting everyone into the Christmas spirit.
What an amazing man. In world with so much hate, it’s refreshing to see people who go out of their way to make others smile. We hope the school recognizes Bukharin’s work and gives him some sort of a reward or raise.
