Sometimes we all could use a little help. Even for those who don’t have a voice, they manage to find a way to reach out and ask for help somehow if they truly need it.
We have a video today featuring a touching example of this, shared to YouTube by Walter Santi.

On February 25th, 2017 he overheard meowing coming from outside at his front door.
When Walter went to check, he found a stray cat with an injured rear left leg. Walter and his family decided to help out the poor cat, taking him to the vet.
The vet took x-rays of the injured leg which revealed no bone damage.

She told Walter that the cat was probably bitten by another cat, and the wound became infected.
There were also old wounds on the cat’s left side and a bone fracture in the left front leg, which had started to heal.
They began an antibiotic treatment and administered medication to rid the cat of internal and external parasites.

The cat remained at the clinic for two nights. Walter returned on February 27th to check on him.
Walter ended up taking the cat home with him that day, and carried on his antibiotic treatment routine.
Twice a day for the next five days, they had to give the animal intramuscular injections along with cleaning the wound with antiseptics a further three times a day.

The cat was in so much pain at first that he could barely put any weight on the front leg. It wasn’t long after going home with Walter though, that he started to run again.
After the five days of antibiotic treatment, they returned to the vet. The vet told Walter that everything looked great and they could cease the antibiotics.
And now?

The cat lives happily outside of Walter’s house, in the garden amongst several other cats.
He’s quite lucky that he ended up picking Walter’s home for help that night!
