Mom finds a hateful note on her car after taking her handicapped son to the store.

As Belle Vernon native, Nikki Waller and her two sons, walked out of a Wal-Mart, they saw a handwritten note on their windshield. Upon reading it, Nikki was left speechless by the ignorant and overly hateful message.

Reserved parking *expletive*. Did your welfare check come today?” – the note read.

While on the outside Nikki and her children may look perfectly healthy, her youngest child, Alex, suffers from juvenile arthritis. Alex needs to wear a brace under his jeans and is prone to serious injuries. Because of this, Nikki has a handicap placard and parks in handicap spots.

Whoever wrote this hateful note assumed that Nikki was abusing the system. They thought she simply parked in the handicap spot because she’s lazy. They had no idea that her son is actually suffering from an illness that limits his mobility.

Nikki quickly took to Facebook to vent her frustrations. She wants everyone to know that we should never judge a book by it’s cover. Take a look below to see more about her story.
